Longtime Little Silver resident, Peter McKinney, passed away on March 21 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. He was 88.

Born in Brooklyn NY, Peter was a 1953 graduate of Port Jefferson High School, Port Jefferson NY, Hampden-Sydney College in VA and the Wharton School of business in NY.

“Peter spent his business career on Wall Street retiring from Oppenheimer and Company in 1997. He was a member of the Sea Bright Lawn Tennis and Cricket Club in Rumson and The Sea Bright Beach Club. He was an avid tennis and paddle tennis player, swimmer and sailor.”

He is survived by: his wife, Sigrid; his daughter, Sharon and husband Clark Herman; his son, Ted and wife Emily McKinney; daughter, Jennifer and husband Dan Bromage; his grandchildren, Harry and Sasha Herman, Katie and Peter McKinney III and Emily and Thomas Bromage.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
