Longtime Fair Havenite Vinny DeLisa “lost his fight with mental illness on Feb. 27.” He was 61.


“Vinny had a larger-than-life personality, which injected energy into any room he entered. He was grounded in faith and full of life. Vin loved classic rock-n-roll, gardening and sending humorous texts. He had a fierce love and loyalty to both his family and friends. Anyone who had the privilege of knowing Vin will never forget him. He will be greatly missed.”

Vinny was preceded in death by his brother, Tom DeLisa.
He is survived by: his parents, Pat and Sue DeLisa; his sister, Debbie Fitzgerald and brother-in-law, Stephen; his sister-in-law, Anne DeLisa; his two nephews, Patrick, and Paul; and his three nieces, Allison, Bailey and Morgan.
The family plans to have a celebration of his life on Saturday, July 20, from 1 to 4 p.m. at The Fair Haven Fire House, 645 River Rd, Fair Haven, NJ 07704.
