In Memoriam: Longtime Fair Havenite Corrine Bonomi, 87

Longtime Fair Havenite Corrine Bonomi passed away peacefully on March 26 at the King Manor Nursing Home in Neptune after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. She was 87.

“A longtime resident of Fair Haven, Corrine raised her family on Spruce Drive for 54 years. She was a board member for the Fair Haven Community Appeal and a member of the Riverview Hospital Evening Auxiliary, where she spent many hours volunteering at the hospital gift shop.

“Corrine was also a parishioner at the Church of the Nativity where she spearheaded the Christmas donation program and the Help a Family in Need Program, often chaperoning families overnight at the Rectory. Corrine retired as the office manager of the Sea Bright Beach Club in 2010, a position which brought her much pride and joy.

“Corrine was selfless in nature and her boundless energy enabled her to maintain a wide circle of close friends and family. She loved to ski and would travel to Upstate NY every weekend in the winter months to be with her sister, brother-in-law, children, grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She would travel abroad once a year with a dedicated group of dear friends.

“We love you, Mom, and will miss you.”
