Little Silver resident, Nancy Gulick, “a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend,” passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, at her Little Silver home. She was 80.
“Nancy brought energy and enthusiasm to everything she did. She was actively involved with the Junior League and the Monmouth County Historical Society. She worked as a mountain guide at Stratton Mountain Ski Resort in Vermont, sharing her love of the outdoors.

“An avid golfer at Rumson Country Club and tennis player at Sea Bright Lawn & Tennis Club, she was also a longtime member of both Rumson Country Club and Sea Bright Beach Club.
“Her warmth, grace, and zest for life made her a cherished presence in every room she entered. Nancy’s loving spirit, her infectious smile, and the countless happy memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
“Above all, Nancy was an exceptional and devoted wife and mother whose greatest joy came from her family. She will be deeply missed.”
Born on Dec. 14, 1945 in Long Branch, Nancy was the daughter of the late Edwin R. Stanley and Ella Toner.
She grew up in Middletown and attended Red Bank Catholic High School (RBC). She married Henry G. Gulick, After marriage, the couple moved into the Gulick Family home, dubbed The Hill, on Holland Road where together they created a warm and loving home and later split her time happily between Little Silver and Weston, VT.
She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Hank; her oldest son, Greg and his wife, Elizabeth and their children, Will (fiancée Amanda) and Grace; and her second son, Peter, along with his fiancée, Caroline LaViolette, and her two boys, Gabriel and Daniel.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 8, from 10 to 11 a.m. with mass to begin at 11 at The Church of the Nativity, 180 Ridge Road, Fair Haven. A warm reception will follow at Rumson Country Club. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Nancy’s memory to The Friends of the Monmouth County Parks. These donations will be used at Historic Portland Place, which was dear to Nancy’s heart.
