In Memoriam: Fair Haven-Raised Longtime Rumsonite & First Aid Squad Member, Frank Davis Jr., 76

It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of a long-time member of our community and the Rumson First Aid Squad. He was a friend, he was a mentor and he was family. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever be treasured in our hearts. Let’s come together to support each other during this difficult time, sharing our favorite memories and celebrating the impact he had on our lives. Our thoughts and condolences go out to the Davis family and loved ones. Rest in peace, Frank.” ~ Rumson First Aid Squad

Fair Haven-raised longtime Rumsonite and First Aid Squad member, Frank Davis Jr., passed away on Nov. 2 from progressive heart failure. He was 76.

After growing up in Fair Haven, Frank lived in Rumson for the last 40 years.

Frank enjoyed “his connection with the community. His Boat Ramp Old Timers membership was the highlight of many of his afternoons. Frank served as an EMT on the Rumson First Aid squad. He volunteered several summers at Camp Quality, a camp for children with cancer. Throughout his life, he freely shared his skills and talents with others.  His daughter often referred to him as MacGyver for his ability to find a solution to any problem. As an avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed cycling, kayaking, hiking, and skiing and especially loved spending time in the Adirondacks.

“He dearly loved his grandchildren and cherished the time he spent with them. Farewell, Papa. We will miss your kind heart, artistic soul, generous spirit, and wicked sense of humor. You are loved!”
