Middletown resident Brianna Hernandez passed away on Saturday, April 23. She was 21.
Born in Red Bank, Brianna was a graduate of the Academy of Law and Public Safety in Long Branch.

“She was currently law at Montclair State University and was on track become a lawyer. She also worked at Hand and Stone in Holmdel. A vibrant and friendly soul, Brianna loved music and dancing.”

Brianna is survived by: her mother, Catalina “Cathy” Hernandez, of Middletown; her father, Raul Hernandez, of Ocean; her brothers, Raul (Sofia Medina) Hernandez and Carlos (Julia O’Grady) Hernandez; her step-brother, Jacob Hernandez; her nieces and nephew, Angeline, Katherine and Matthew Hernandez; and her paternal grandmother, Teresa Tepepa.
Brianna was pre-deceased by her paternal grandfather, Bricio Hernandez and her maternal grandparents, Alberto Lopez and Guillermina Garcia.
A visitation service is set for Tuesday, May 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank. A Funeral Mass will follow on Wednesday, May 4, at 9:30 a.m. St. Anthony of Padua RC Church in Red Bank. Burial will follow at Fair View Cemetery in Middletown.
