Full Details on Early Morning Rumson Incident Not Yet Verified by Authorities

There is scant information available from any reasonable authority as of yet regarding an alleged incident in Rumson in the early morning hours today.

Area people and media outlets have speculated with no verification except a couple of photos circulated by Central Jersey Newswire of the area flush with police cars.

The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office has not yet released any information on the alleged incident. Though, a Nixle alert was issued by Rumson police at 5:26 a.m.. telling people to avoid the area of Rumson Road and Avenue of Two Rivers.

The NJ State PBA tweeted on X a brief statement at 8:21 a.m. saying, “Our officer involved in the overnight incident in Rumson is recovering at the hospital. We thank all those who have reached out.”
