Well, spring has arrived and so has another so-called nor’easter. At the very least, it’s not bird-chirping, flower-blooming spring weather in the Rumson-Fair Haven area.
This morning, on her usual trek down by the river at the municipal boat launch in Rumson, longtime resident Jenifer Weber-Zeller caught a bit of a blustery moment that blew in some inclement weather and the beginning of a chilled high tide that rose to the occasion.
Take a look. This is what the mid-morning brought …
According to the National Weather Service, there will be six to 10 inches of snow, which could be heavy, and more of that thunder snow we heard with the last snowfall this afternoon. It will stay windy with gusts of up to 40 miles per hour.
The snow will continue to fall into the night and early Thursday morning with a possible accumulation of new snow from three to seven inches more.
Bundle up! The search for signs of spring just got more complicated.
Thanks to Jenifer Weber-Zeller for the weather update and glimpse into the scene down by the launch.
