The Nor’easter kept Rumson Fire Department’s Oceanic Hook and Ladder Fire companies busy responding to many calls for everything from electrical fires to downed wires to flooded homes to trapped cars and downed trees.
Well, spring has arrived and so has another so-called nor’easter. At the very least, it’s not bird-chirping, flower-blooming spring weather in the Rumson-Fair Haven area.

In light of the impending nor’easter, our Retro Pic of the Day, once again, brings back memories of fun in the sun on the banks of the Navesink River.
This crew had a great time one day in 2013. The photo encapsulates a typical day for kids enjoying life down by the river.

Once the Nor’easter water that flooded low-lying rainy Rumson areas and Sea Bright had receded, all was calm during a choppy, yet slower flowing low tide at nightfall.
All are now bracing for a better high tide at roughly 9 p.m. with a slight drizzle.
