The Monmouth County DWI Task Force will conduct two DWI checkpoints from Friday through Sunday, Brielle Police Chief and Task Force Coordinator Michael W. Palmer announced.
The most local starts on Friday evening at 9 p.m. in Fair Haven. Task Force members and Fair Haven police will will pull vehicles from the eastbound lanes into the Acme parking lot to determine drivers’ sobriety, detecting whether or not they are under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
The Fair Haven checkpoint will run until 1 a.m. on Saturday.
Then, on Saturday evening, there will the another checkpoint further south in Deal.
The Deal checkpoint will be run from 10 p.m. on Saturday through 2 a.m. Sunday on Ocean Avenue.
Vehicles will be pulled in from the northbound lanes into the Deal Casino Beach Club parking lot to determine drivers’ sobriety.
