The night before Thanksgiving has always been known as the biggest party night of the year. It’s been referred to as Drinksgiving, Blackout Wednesday and Black Wednesday.
Characteristically, people are coming home for the holiday, reuniting and celebrating. And the Monmouth County DWI Task Force is, again, advising designated drivers and ride shares if people choose to partake. The Task Force also has a DWI Checkpoint set for Wednesday night through early Thanksgiving morning.

In Howell on Wednesday night, Nov. 22 …
Starting at 11 p.m. and running until 3 a.m. on Thursday, all vehicles driving north on Route 9 will be diverted into the Regal Plaza parking lot where DWI Task Force members and Howell police will screen drivers for sobriety.
