They did it the pandemic way. Nine Rumson-Fair Haven High School (RFH) student-athletes made their college choices official on Wednesday by signing Letters of Intent virtually, committing to their respective college academic/athletic careers.
In what has become a new COVID-19 pandemic time tradition, the athletes and their families donned their new college colors and celebrated their high school athletic and academic accomplishments and college choices in a Zoom session from their homes.
Here’s the who’s who, what they play and where they’re going …
• Thomas Elgrim will continue his baseball career on the diamond in-state when he attends Stockton University.
• Basketball star Cortland McBarron will join the team at Williams College in Massachusetts.
• Nicholas Corsentino and John Theodore will join the crew teams at the College of the Holy Cross and the University of Pennsylvania, respectively.
• Football stand-outs Josh Harmon and David Livingston will go for the goals at their respective choice colleges, Hamilton and Kenyon.
• Soccer stand-out Brynn Pritchard will bring her skills on the field to the team at at Great Dane at the University at Albany.
• Wrestling star Max Brignola will bring his skills on the mat to Lehigh University.
