This is Venus.

It’s all about love with this 2-year-old terrier mix who is a found stray keeping company at the Monmouth County SPCA right now, but looking for a forever home.

This dog is known for being sweet and giving lots of kisses.

Touted as a quick learner, the 55-pound pup likes to go for car rides, play with squeaky toys and is a quick learner.

Venus would love to be an only pet in a home.

Venus is one of many who needs a home. Check her and her other buddies in waiting out at the SPCA website.

Adopt a Senior; Ride with Harley

Yes, adoption is for seniors, too.

And Harley, a chihuahua mix currently residing at the Monmouth County SPCA, needs a loving home in which he can live out his senior years.

Harley, described as very sweet and affectionate and friendly with other dogs, needs a quiet home without kids. It takes him a little time to acclimate to new people in his life, but he does like to be held, according to his bio on the SPCA website.

He only weighs 12 pounds and doesn’t need to be walked a lot.

Check him out on film and see if he just might be the little old guy for you.

Make SPCA’s Maeve a Part of Your Family?

Meet Maeve.

She’s a 6-year-old labrador mix who is a transplant from another shelter in the state and needs a home, according to the Monmouth County SPCA website.

She is known as very smart, sweet and loving and knows her basic commands. She wants to be part of an active family, her bio says.

She weighs 62 pounds.

Get in touch with the SPCA if you’d like to adopt this smiley girl. And check out the other animals up for adoption. Many need homes.

Some Bunny to Watch Over You?

Yes, it’s Easter time and the season for bunnies.

While the Monmouth County SPCA and other animal adoption facilities encourage adoption into loving homes, they also caution against adopting animals such as rabbits without fully understanding that it is not a gift that’s meant to be temporary.

The agency has always asked that people who are considering bunny adoption please research proper care of the pets and adopt with all serious intentions and no fleeting fancy for the holiday.

All that in mind, the SPCA in Eatontown has two bunnies up for adoption — Jeremy and Bebe, a neutered and spayed male and female.

If you are interested in giving either or both a forever home, please contact the MCSPCA. Click here for the website.

Louie, according to the Monmouth County SPCA website, was a stray. He is high energy, loves to play with other dogs and has been tapped as a quick learner.

Louie is in a foster home right now, but needs a forever home.
