A warrant has been issued for Aaron D. Davis, 36, of Long Branch in connection with the case of “River,” the dog who was left in a cage in Highlands.
Anyone who has any information on the whereabouts of Aaron Davis or that may have witnessed anything, please notify the Monmouth County SPCA Animal Cruelty Hot Line 877-898-7297 or alternatively, the Highlands Police Department at 732-872-1158.

The following is an update from the Monmouth County Prosecutor on the case of the dog that was dumped along the Shrewsbury River in a cage as the tide rose …
Prosecutor Gramiccioni, along with Monmouth County SPCA Chief Ross Licitra and good Samaritan Jen Vaz, provide an update on River, the dog who was found in Highlands yesterday. River was given that name by Jennifer, who rescued him.
River is doing well and we are still asking for the public’s assistance as to who River’s owner may be.

Nina is a 3-year-old Shetland sheepdog mix up for adoption at the Monmouth County SPCA.
She needs to be the only pet in the home and she knows all of her commands.
Nina is described as a bit reserved, but very gentle and calm.
