When you talk about dogs in Rumson, it’s usually a bulldog you’re referring to, as in the Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) mascot. But, there’s a new dog in town who is providing a dog’s eye view into Rumson life. That would be Nancy Spakowski.

Recently, Nancy gave a comical gander from her eyes at a pack of deer strutting their stuff on a Black Point Horseshoe Road lawn. She looked and didn’t touch, like a good dog, according to her mama, Sue.

Well, this week, we have a different, more staid view of Nancy. She gets around. Here, she shows us what its like to have a breakfast gone to the dogs in Rumson. Call it the Rumson Breakfast Club. It may just be better than the country club, by the looks of it.

The truth is that it was yet another good shot of Nancy’s adventures. It’s “the morning after our sleepover with my granddaughter Emma,” RFH grad and Rumsonite Sue Hill-Spakowski says. “When she is here, they are joined at the hip. They run around like crazy! Nancy is a little older than Emma and it’s so cute to see how gentle she is with Emma … Oh and the scary doll is Donna. My husband is her voice. She goes everywhere with us … dinner, shopping. So it’s like a threesome when she is at Lollipop’s house! I’m Lolli and hubby is Pop.”

OK, so this little club is all about breakfast, Nancy, Emma, scary Donna and a Lollipop!
