Who knew that yoga mixed with goats and peppered with charity would yield a simple summer pleasure?
Well, apparently a lot of R-FH area friends. You’ve heard of beach yoga, hot yoga, yoga in the park … Well, this is goat yoga. Yes, goat yoga. And these goats are not meant to get your goat, or yoga mat, for that matter.
They’re there to mingle and do a little of their own mantra, and perhaps a little nibbling on your mat, while you, ohm, exercise — sorta.
We spied at least a few Fair Havenites, including a fine police officer, and a Rumson native and RFH alum.
They tell us that the goats were quite well-behaved and nothing got gobbled up. They also tell us that this simple summer pleasure of goat yoga is not just for fun, but a good cause. Proceeds benefit OASIS tlc, a therapeutic life center for autistic adults in Middletown, which is where the yoga class takes place.
Synergy Yoga in Fair Haven and Hot & Soul Yoga in Red Bank teach the class.
Spaces are running out, so our friends tell us if you want to get your own goat, ohm, book now.
Now, that’s a simple summer time.
