Stop, drop and roll with the lesson! That’s what Fair Haven Fire Department volunteers are teaching kids these days about fire safety.
October is Fire Safety Month, and firefighters are kindling safety measures into the minds of Fair Haven’s kids with visits and some interactive teachings about just how fires are extinguished and staying safe is an ignited instinct.
Recently, firefighters visited Knollwood, Smart Start and Sickles schools to ensure that fire safety lessons were learned.
Here’s a glimpse into the visits, courtesy of the Fair Haven Fire Department. (Click on one photo to enlarge and scroll for full view.)
Kids’ greatest takeaway? Safety first. Have you thanked a volunteer firefighter for your safety today?
