Call it Fire Company No. 1 — number one as in first place winner.
That’s right. The Fair Have Fire Department’s Fire Company won first place in the Monmouth County Fair’s Monmouth County Firefighter’s Competition for its stellar hose and ladder work on Wednesday night. There were several fire companies in the competition, but only one that placed first.
The crew trains a lot, as they posted on social media. “Tonight the training showed,” a post by Fire Department member Brian Allison said. “Great job, guys. Proud to be part of this organization.”
The fire company took third place in the event five years ago.
Congrats, Fair Haven firefighters! Thank you for your all-volunteer service!
