The following May criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.
Criminal Incidents
• A Highland Avenue resident on May 28 reported that their Ford truck had been stolen from the driveway overnight.
Patrolman Timothy Lackner took the report.
• Patrols responded on May 27 to a residence on Conover Lane after a neighbor reported an audible alarm sounding. It was discovered that the home had been forcibly entered and burglarized when no one was home.
Sgt. Daniel Campanella took the report.
• A DPW employee reported on May 23 that graffiti had been written in black marker on playground equipment in Victory Park.
Patrolman Timothy Lackner took the report.
• A resident on North Rohallion reported on May 22 that their Mercedes Benz had been stolen from the driveway overnight.
Patrolman Donald Morse took the report.
• A resident reported on May 15 graffiti and vandalism to a public bathroom at Victory Park.
Patrolman Troy Malone took the report.
• A resident reported on May 12 that profanity, including a racial slur, had been written on playground equipment at Victory Park.
Patrolman Timothy Lackner took the report.
Arrests
• Tyler Pendergrast, 21, of Rumson, was arrested in the area of Rumson and Hance roads on May 29 and charged with simple assault by Patrolman James Camilleri.
• Loruhama E. Ortega, 47, of Red Bank, was arrested in the area of Rumson Road and Ward Avenue on May 28 and charged with driving while suspended by Patrolman James Camilleri.
