The following September and August arrests were reported by Rumson police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

• Dominic Vernazza, 22, of Sea Bright, was arrested in the area of Rumson Road and Sailors Way on Sept. 16 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman Grace Maggiulli.

• David Kearns, 47, of Fair Haven, was arrested in the area of River Road and Lafayette Street on Sept. 15 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Special Officer Donald Morse.

• John McCann, 43, of Oceanport, was arrested in the area of Rumson and Hance roads on Sept. 7 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Detective Sgt. Chris Isherwood.

• William Herchakowski, 57, of Rumson, was arrested in the area of Washington and South Ward avenues on Aug. 21 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Patrolman Daniel Campanella.

• Luke Schudlick, 32, of Colts Neck, was arrested in the area of Bingham Avenue and Bingham Circle on Aug. 12 and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) by Special Officer Michael Volker.

**Three arrests on contempt of court warrants were reported.**
