There’s a Fourth of July traffic back-up in Rumson, police said.

Here’s what happened …

Police, this morning, advised that Ward Avenue, between Rumson Road and Hartshorne Lane, would be closed periodically due to emergency electrical repair.

Early this afternoon, they issued an alert that “there is heavy traffic congestion at the Rumson-Sea Bright Bridge. Expect delays for eastbound traffic on Rumson Road, Shrewsbury Drive, Hartshorne Lane and neighboring streets.”
