All RFH concerts have singers and players — of the Tower variety.
Last night’s annual RFH Winter Concert was no exception. The singers sang holiday songs and the players of various RFH instrumental ensembles played. At times, in RFH history, the two did meet to make music together.
Over the years, there have been many variations of the annual winter concert. And, no matter what, it’s always a festive event full of talent and holiday spirit.
So, the Retro Pic of the Day celebrates the instrumental part of the concert over the years with a look back at the RFH orchestra of 1974, directed by Ken Walter.
The singers and players in 1974 came together for the longtime traditional Hallelujiah Chorus finale for which alumni joined in.
Were you in the orchestra, band or one of the singers in the Freshmen Chorus, Tower Singers or Madrigals? Your favorite instrumental or singing moment in concert?
Bravo to this year’s RFH singers and players! Play on …
