A reprise as an ode to an old normal and return of those sunny fall days we’ve been having …
Everyone’s falling for the summery fall in the Rumson-Fair Haven area lately. It makes an RFH student want to escape the classroom with a spring fever-like fervor.
There’s nothing quite like a sunny, warm, crisp fall day to give a student or anyone else the searing urge to close the book on a hectic life and bug out, so to speak. Lounge. Soak it all in.
And what better way to soak in it than to get outside, feel that sunshine seep into the soul all while resting on the back of a VW Bug? Call it a healthy mode of study. Just kick back, literally rest the book on the brain and hope what’s on the printed page sinks in through osmosis. Sell that one to RFH teachers.
So, the Retro Pic of the Day honors that sort of moment in time with this shot from the RFH 1975 yearbook. Nothing like memories of some sun and fun at RFH to get over hump day — Wednesday, that is.
Know these slackers? Who had the VW bug bug?
