In Memoriam: Fair Havenite, RFH Grad Bradford Feldmann, 55

Fair Havenite and 1980 Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) graduate Bradford (Brad) Feldmann passed away on Sept. 20 at Bayshore Community Hospital. He was 55.

Referred to as “our Prince Robin, the Brave” by a group of close friends from Rumson’s former Barn Theatre, Feldmann was remembered fondly by them:

“What an amazing heart he had,” said Jennifer Woods Hart. “(He) Will be sadly missed by my family.”

Paul Kellogg, “He was always a good man and a good friend and a good father who did his best to take care of his family,” RFH classmate Paul Kellogg said. “He was gentle and very kind.
I shall miss him a lot.”

“Brad was so gentle and sweet,” Jenifer Weber-Zeller said.

Maura Minton Cerchio He was “A lovely, gentle spirit” is what Maura Minton Cerchio called him.

Born in New Brunswick to Henry and Lois Feldmann, Bradford was known as “a very upbeat, cheery, happy person who always saw the bright side to everything.”

He was an Eagle Scout, who, along with his other den mates, built a new fence at the Leonardo Blind Citizens Association.

A graduate of Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Brad was also an acolyte at All Saints Church in Fair Haven, and then was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Red Bank.

He worked as a state Inspector in environmental science and as a security guard until his health caused him to take a medical retirement in 2001.

He loved boating and having many adventures.

Surviving are: his two sons, William Henry Feldmann and Michael David Feldmann; and his mother, Lois Claire Feldmann (nee Keene).

Bradford was predeceased by his father, Henry Feldmann.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 23 at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, 115 Tindall Road, Middletown. The memorial service will be held at 5:30 p.m. during visitation.
