Red Bank native and Mustillo’s owner, Lois Caivano, more recently of Shrewsbury, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, Aug. 23, with her loving family by her side. She was 90.
Lois was born and raised in Red Bank to the late Emilio and Mary Mustillo, the founders of Mustillo’s on Broad Street. Lois and her family continued to own and operate the business, which will soon celebrate its 82nd anniversary.
Lois is predeceased by: her devoted husband of 49 years, Nicholas J. Caivano I; her son, Nicholas J. Caivano II; and her brother, Louis Mustillo.
She is survived by: her adoring children, Philip and Nicole; her three cherished grandchildren, Alex, Nola and Lucas; her sister, Rosemary D’Anthony; and her many loving nieces and nephews.
There will be a mass on Wednesday, Aug. 28, at 12:30 p.m. at St. James R. C. Church in Red Bank. Interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Lois’ name to:
