Longtime Sea Bright resident Arlene Petzold Baglino passed away on July 31. She was 74.
Born and raised in Jersey City, following graduation from Henry Snyder High School in Jersey City, Arlene worked at the New York Stock Exchange.
She married her high school sweetheart Jim in 1969; and, together they welcomed their son James into their lives in 1972.
The family moved to Hazlet in 1977, where Arlene began her career as a travel consultant. “Their home quickly became the place for James and his friends after school and for the years to come,” her obituary said.
Arlene is predeceased by: her husband, Jim; her parents, Frances and Fred Petzold; brothers, Fred, George and Frank; her sister, Nancy Silvia; and brother-in-law, James.
Arlene is survived by: her beloved son, James and his girlfriend, Jennifer; brother, Robert Petzold; sister-in-law, Marietta; nieces, Sheri, Haylee and many special nephews and their families.

A gathering will be held at John E. Day Funeral Home, Red Bank, on Wednesday, Aug. 4, from 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. with a celebration of life starting at 12:15. Casual attire requested. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
