In Memoriam: Longtime Red Bank Resident, Leda Di Blasio, 85

Longtime Red Bank resident, Leda Di Blasio, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, June 27, surrounded by family and following her husband of 59 years, passing only days earlier. She was 85.

Born in Pescara, Italy to the late Vincenzo and Anna De Sanctis, Leda lived in Red Bank for 58 years.

“Leda was a loving mother, grandmother and talented seamstress. She was an avid reader, enjoyed making homecooked meals, and looked forward to a morning cup of espresso with her friends. Her life evolved around her family and most importantly her grandchildren. She welcomed everyone into her heart and treated her friends as family.”

She is survived by: her three children, William Di Blasio and his wife, Catalina, Daria Musselman and her husband, John, and Lisa Copeman and her husband, John; her sister, Elsa (Vincent) Capello; and four grandchildren, Gabrielle, Kevin, Daniel and Angelina.

She was pre-deceased by: her husband, Remo; and her brothers, Benito, Sandro, and Donato “Dino.”

A mass of christian burial will be held on Friday, June 28, at 11 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Red Bank. Interment to immediately follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Middletown.
