Longtime Little Silver resident and owner of the former Tiger Lily boutique, Ardis Varian Bogosian, died peacefully at home on Jan. 24. She was 91. Her funeral is set for Saturday, March 25.
Ardis was predeceased by her beloved husband Nishan in 2004. They were married in Worcester, MA in 1953.
Ardis is survived by: her three children, Nina Quigley (Matthew), of New York, NY, Diane Fanshel (Ethan), of San Anselmo, CA, and Mark Bogosian (Carol), of Colorado Springs, CO; and, her seven grandchildren, Sona Quigley, Ani Quigley, Meline Quigley, Alexander Fanshel, Liza Fanshel, Katie Fanshel and Gregory Bogosian.
The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 25, at 11 a.m. at Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church in Whitinsville, MA, with interment to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, Whitinsville. A luncheon (hokejash) will follow at the church.
A requiem service will be held on Sunday, June 4, after the Divine Liturgy (Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:30 a.m., requiem at approximately noon) at St. Stepanos Armenian Apostolic Church in Elberon. A luncheon will follow at the family in Little Silver.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Stepanos Armenian Apostolic Church in Elberon NJ or Soorp Asdvadzadzin Armenian Apostolic Church in Whitinsville MA. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the caregivers of Visiting Angels, VNA Hospice and VNA Visiting Physicians.
