In Memoriam: Little Silver Resident, Beverly Blanchet Reiss, 90

Little Silver resident, Beverly Blanchet Reiss, passed away at home on Dec. 19. She was 90.

“A devoted mother, BB, which she so aptly adopted as her grandmother name, was highly spirited and most loving. She will be missed by many who turned to her for laughter and friendship during good times and understanding and support when challenged.”

Beverly was the second of five daughters of Lucille and G. Arthur Blanchet.

Beverly graduated from Marymount College, Tarrytown, NY, and was a longstanding communicant of The Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven.

Beverly was predeceased by: her eldest son, Theodore Kransz Reiss (1972); her eldest daughter, Ruth Margaret Reiss (d. 1997); and her sister, Margaret Ann Blanchet.

She is survived by: her daughter, Heidi M. Reiss; son Carl A. (Anne) Reiss; grandsons, Carl and Jack Reiss; her sisters, Lucille B. Conklin; Sister Rosamond Blanchet, RSHM; and Carole B. (Michael) Brown.

A mass of christian burial will be held on Dec. 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Church of the Nativity, Fair Haven. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Beverly’s memory to Passionist Communications, The Sunday Mass, POB 111, Rye Brook, NY 10573-0111.
