In Memoriam: Former Rumsonite, CBA ’72 Grad, David Cadamuro

Former Rumsonite and Christian Brothers Academy Class of ’72 graduate, David B. Cadamuro, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Dec. 17. 

“During his too short, yet brilliant life, David enjoyed sailing, skiing, competitive fencing, traveling, attending Broadway plays, and relaxing poolside.”

Originally from Rumson, David graduated from Christian Brothers Academy’s (CBA) Class of ’72. He earned a bachelor of engineering degree from Stevens Institute of Technology and a master’s degree in management science. A lifelong member of the Chi Psi Fraternity, he served as its president while at Stevens, and is a continued supporter of the Chi Psi Scholarship Fund. 

He was a retired senior accounts sales manager for Power Generation at Solar Turbines, a subsidiary of Caterpillar, Upper Saddle River, NJ. There he led turbine-power generation sales of gas turbines in the 1 Megawatt to 50 Megawatt range for more than 20 years, “always highly respected by his colleagues.” 

He is predeceased by: his mother and father, Elaine Dorsey and Norbert J. Cadamuro; and brother, Joseph J. Cadamuro. 

David is survived by: his sister, Linda (Cadamuro) McBurney and her husband Patrick; and his brother, John W. Cadamuro, wife Barbara (LuBrant), and their son, John Franklin Cadamuro to whom he is godfather.

A memorial gathering is set for Thursday, Dec. 23, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Thompson Memorial Home, Red Bank. Burial will be private.
