In Memoriam: Former Monmouth Beach, Little Silver and Red Bank Resident, CBA ’66 Grad, Paul Baeri, 76

Former Monmouth Beach, Little Silver and Red Bank resident, Paul Baeri, more recently of Tinton Falls, passed away peacefully on June 21, surrounded by his loved ones. He was 76.

“Paul was an avid skier, golfer and all around adventure-seeker. After a day on the slopes or the course, you could often find Paul in the hot tub enjoying a good cigar and an extra-dry Beefeater Martini, straight up with olives. He loved to travel the world with his family, taking them to six of the seven continents, and introducing them to all the mystery and beauty that he saw in the world. Paul will be remembered by all that had the pleasure of knowing him as a kind and generous man with a limitless sense of humor. He was always willing to help a friend in need, especially if it required his legendary DIY skills based on the ‘measure once, cut twice’ philosophy.

“Paul enjoyed every minute of his 40-year career as a self-professed ‘Wall Street geek.’ He worked in fixed income trading and sales at Goldman Sachs, Merrill Lynch, J.P. Morgan, Bank of New York, Gleacher & Cantor Fitzgerald. He had more dear friends in the business than most people have in a lifetime, and he was especially proud of those that he mentored early in their careers.

“His love of ‘the business’ was only eclipsed by his love of his family. He married the love of his life, Margaret, in 1978, and together they settled in New York City to start a family. Shortly after the birth of their third son, they relocated to the Jersey Shore and raised three boys in Monmouth Beach, Little Silver and Red Bank. He was a caring husband, a phenomenal father, an amazing grandfather and a wonderful friend.”
