Summer has officially started. And, in keeping with upped summer policing, there will be a DWI checkpoint on Friday that will run into early Saturday morning, the Monmouth County DWI Task Force announced.

On Friday night, June 21, in Brielle …
Starting at 9 p.m. and running through 1 a.m. on Saturday, all vehicles headed south on Route 71 will be diverted into the Brielle Borough Hall parking lot. There, drivers will be screened for sobriety by Task Force members and Brielle police.
