The sun was shining and Irish spirits were smiling bright as the sixth annual Rumson St. Patrick’s Day Parade marched on through town on Sunday.
Thousands lined East River Road at the top o’ the mornin’ to get their Irish on, cheer the marchers and riders and celebrate the day in advance.
Rumson-Fair Haven Retrospect was there getting a glimpse of it all from a different vantage point this year — a parader.
The last time this native Fair Havenite marched (or rode) in any parade was when she strummed, sang and did a little “left, left, left, right, left” with the Fair Haven Folk Singers back in 1972. It was great to be parading again, or riding, that is.
