Since the dawn of Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) prom times, there have been pre-prom extravaganzas.
At the very least, there were pictures on the front lawn or living rooms of prom-goers back in the day. There were also corsage and boutonnière pinnings among family, prom-going friends and neighbors.
In more recent years, though, those pre-prom festivities have expanded. Last Friday was no exception for RFH Junior Prom-goers.
A glimpse into the pre-prom was offered by RFH grad Jenny Costello and former Fair Haven Councilman Chris Rodgriguez. Parties were all over Rumson and Fair Haven, but this glimpse is from a grande celebration at a Navesink Avenue home in Rumson and the Rodgriguez yard in Fair Haven.
The prom-goers gathered, celebrated, posed in the most chic of attire and headed to the main event at The Gramercy at Lakeside Manor in Hazlet.
Very prom-ready, these chic posers, right? Long gone, thank goodness, are those pastels and frills of the ’70s or high hair, shoulder pads and big earrings of the ’80s.
These RFHers are definitely stylin’ big. Take a look … (Click on one photo to enlarge and scroll. Enjoy!)
