Fair Haven Police: Theft, DWIs, Fraud, Marijuana

The following recent criminal incidents and arrests were reported by Fair Haven police. An arrest does not constitute a conviction.

Criminal Incidents

• A Dartmouth Avenue resident reported on Aug. 27 that three bikes were stolen from Forman Street.

Patrolman Dwayne Reevey took the report.

• A Dartmouth Ave resident reported on Aug. 27 that her debit card was compromised and used for unauthorized purchases.

Cpl. John Waltz took the report.

• A Rumson resident reported on Aug. 27 the theft of a bike on Forman Street.

Patrolman Dwayne Reevey took the report.

• A Grange Ave resident on Aug. 24 reported the theft of a mountain bike.

Patrolman Eric Patton took the report.

• A Hendrickson Place resident reported on Aug. 23 that several packages had been stolen from her front porch.

Patrolman Brooks Robinson took the report.

• A Parker Avenue resident reported on Aug. 19 having received harassing text messages from an unknown subject.

Sgt. Sherri Lambert took the report.

• A River Road resident on Aug. 17 reported that a credit card was fraudulently opened in his name.

Patrolman Brooks Robinson took the report.

• An employee of Nirvana Nails reported a theft on Aug. 14 — that her purse was stolen.

Detective Stephen Schneider took the report.

• A Clay Street resident reported an incident of fraud on Aug. 10— that his TD Bank debit card was used by an unknown subject(s) in the South Carolina area.

Patrolman Eric Patton took the report.

• A River Road resident on Aug. 6 reported an incident of fraud. He reported sending money to a subject via Western Union for concert tickets he never received.

Patrolman Christian Hostrup took the report.

• A Linden Drive resident reported the theft of a long board skateboard from the driveway of their home on Aug. 1.

Special Officer Volker took the report.

• A Fisk Street resident reported on Aug. 2 that a UPS-delivered credit card was stolen from the porch of the home.

Patrolman Eric Patton took the report.

Arrests

• Lucas Roffman, 18, of Rumson, was arrested on Aug. 3 and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) — less than 50 grams of marijuana — following a motor vehicle stop for a moving violation (disregarding a traffic control device) by Special Officer Volker.

• Brett S. Macknight, 43, of Westwood, was arrested on Aug. 14 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle stop for reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, use of multiple beam headlights and failure to possess an insurance card by Special Officer Volker. 

• Isaiah Hamon, 21, of Neptune, was arrested on Aug. 15 and charged with driving while intoxicated (DWI) following a motor vehicle stop for reckless driving and failure to signal by Patrolman Brooks Robinson.

• A juvenile from Fair Haven was arrested on Aug. 16 and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana by Special Officer Volker.

• A juvenile from Red Bank was arrested on Aug. 24 and charged with criminal mischief by Patrolman Dwayne Reevey made the arrest.

• One juvenile from Avon, one juvenile from Middletown, one juvenile from Interlaken, and two juveniles from Rumson were arrested on Aug. 27 and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia by patrolmen William Lagrotteria and Dwayne Reevey made the arrests.

• A juvenile from Tinton Falls was arrested on Aug. 27 and charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia by special officers Volker and Anderson.
