Well, according to weather forecasts, Saturday’s a washout this weekend, putting off Easter egg hunts pretty much everywhere to either Sunday or next week. As far as at least one indoor event, though, anything goes — literally.
Starting Saturday …
The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Tower Players’ spring musical production of Cole Porter’s Anything Goes sets sail on the RFH stage, a/k/a cruise liner the S.S. American, for its closing weekend Saturday night with curtain at 7:30 and the final matinee show on Sunday at 2 p.m. at the RFH auditorium, 74 Ridge Rd., Rumson. Tickets are $10 for adults and $6 for seniors and students. Click here for advance tickets or pay cash at the door. Seat is first come, first served.
The show opened last weekend to rave social media reviews. Set to Cole Porter’s iconic music and lyrics, the musical, originally produced in the 1930s starring Ethel Merman, follows characters who have set sail on the ship in their rollicking adventures, song and dance aboard. For RFH senior cast members, this will be their bon voyage to the RFH stage. The last high school show. Tap into it all with them in the audience …
Break a leg, cast! This Reno Sweeney of 50 years ago (OUCH!) will be there!

And on the egg hunt front …
Sea Bright’s egg hunt has been postponed from Saturday to Sunday at 3 p.m. on the public beach. All are to gather in front of the beach pavilion.
Fair Haven’s egg hunt has been postponed a week to next Saturday, March 30 at McCarter Pond at 9 a.m. sharp. Bring a basket. Don’t be late. Officials have long proclaimed this the quickest Fair Haven event.
