There’s a new chief in town. Well, there’s a new chief, deputy chief, assistant chiefs, lieutenants, captains, president and vice president in the Fair Haven Fire Department’s fire company, first aid squad, auxiliary and water rescue.

The new officers got sworn in on New Year’s Day at the firehouse, a tradition that has endured for generations.

Fair Haven Mayor Josh Halpern did the swearing in and a party ensued, as tradition has always held, afterward.

R-FH Retro couldn’t make it this year, but Fire Department folks gave a glimpse into the event with some photos.

The 2025 Fair Haven Fire Department line officers are as follows:

Fire Company: Chief Kevin Countryman, Deputy Chief Matt Bufano, 1st Assistant Chief Matt Lang, 2nd Assistant Chief Matt DePonti

First Aid Squad: Captain Brian Allison, 1st Lieutenant Dan Maloney, 2nd Lieutenant Kirstin Felsmann

Fire Police: Captain Rich Andres, 1st Lieutenant Scott Smith, 2nd Lieutenant Robert Silva

Auxiliary: President Ashley Finamore, Vice President Bev Grogan

Water Rescue: Coordinator Wade Davis
