If you’re looking for a pot of gold, you just might find one or two in Rumson somewhere.
Out came the sun, on Tuesday afternoon by the municipal dock, and down came a double rainbow. The scene on the Navesink River is golden, rainbow or not. But the colorful sign of luck was timely.
Captured by longtime Rumsonite and photographer Loujeanne Cuje, the double band of bliss seemed to reach out from the heavens and give the land a smooch. The gold is the scene. Its vibe. All that truly glitters.
It was both the sequel and prequel to a tad of stormy weather, literally and figuratively. A COVID waxing and waning with the rain. Soak it up: the sun, the rainbow and the gold.
Here comes the rain again …
The weather outlook for today, according to the National Weather Service, is stormy with a 60 percent chance of showers with thunderstorms after 1 p.m..
And the sun …
the forecast for the rest the week shows fair weather: mostly sunny on Thursday with a high temperature of 82 degrees; mostly sunny on Friday with a high of 83 degrees and a chance of rain/thunder; and partly sunny on Saturday. Fourth of July, with a high temperature of 79 degrees.
Now that’s a pretty golden outlook. Look to the rainbow.
Many thanks to photographer extraordinaire Loujeanne Cuje for capturing the beauty scene around Rumson!
