They hit that high note. The Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Tower Singers have sung their way to the states.
In other words, the high school chorus has earned the honor of the Best Small Choir distinction, representing Monmouth County in the New Jersey State Teen Arts Festival.
The annual statewide festival celebrating the top talent of teens in county and of the literary, performing and visual arts realms is back this year after a pandemic hiatus. The festival will take place on June 1 and 2 at Middlesex County College in Edison.

Did you know?
In the 60s, 70s and 80s, the Tower Singers was one of three RFH choruses. There was a Freshman Chorus, Tower Singers and Madrigals. Anyone could join the Freshman and Tower Singers choruses. Freshman Chorus was, obviously for freshmen only. Tower Singers comprised sophomore through senior students and Madrigals comprised all, but was audition-only and very competitive. Each of the choruses had many singers.
Most Madrigals auditioned for and got admitted to the All-Shore Chorus, comprised of the top singers of the high schools in the shore area, or Monmouth and Ocean counties. All-Shore still exists today. Some went on to All-State, which also still exists today.
