Sweet! That’s what you could call the donation today from a Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School (RFH) Performing Arts Society (PAS) fundraiser of 33 dozen Krispy Kreme donuts to Red Bank food distribution center LunchBreak.
LunchBreak serves those in need in the area food, clothing and more “with dignity.”
The donuts came from a recent RFH PAS effort to raise funds for the organization and, in the mix, feed the hungry something special. RFH PAS recently offered a dozen glazed Krispy Kreme donuts for $12. The original price is $7.99, leaving the remainder for the RFH PAS cause and LunchBreak’s benefit.
People could actually buy the donuts and pick them up today or donate them directly to LunchBreak by indicating so via the purchase. “This year the PAS offered a ‘no calorie’ option,” said RFH PAS organizer and Fair Havenite Joanne Mitchell Formisano. “Instead of buying donuts for yourself, you could order a dozen and have them sent directly to lunch break to avoid falling into temptation.” Today, PAS’s Ali Gagliardi and Sarina Moore (pictured left) did the delivering.
After the sale, whatever was not picked up was taken over to LunchBreak. So, yes, 33 dozen is pretty sweet! A deliciously generous delivery!
