They are the champions! In case you didn’t hear or see the hoopla —as in beeping, siren-blaring, light-flashing from a fire company- and police-escorted parade — the RFH Girls Indoor Track & Field team won the 2024-25 NJSIAA Group 2 state championship.
The ultimate win, after a county and state sectional meets streak, came at Toms River on Saturday.
“Total domination by these girls for the 2025 indoor season … they capped the team aspects off with the NJ Group 2 State title after snagging Central Jersey Sectionals, the Shore Conference and Monmouth County titles throughout the season,” said team member parent and former Fair Haven councilman Chris Rodriguez.
The state championship is the first in indoor track and field for the RFH Bulldogs since 2019.
