After 25 years, another familiar face on the Rumson police force will be officially off the beat as of Nov. 1.
Rumson Police Patrolman Kevin Gaynor was issued his retirement badge and offered many thanks and the best of wishes as Chief Scott Paterson gave him his retirement badge and ID, a post on the Rumson PD’s Facebook page said.
Gaynor came to the department on Aug. 1, 1994. He held the rank of detective as well as patrolman throughout his career. Gaynor also served for 18 years, from 2001 to 2019, as a Rumson PBA 345 delegate.
“The Rumson Police Department wishes Kevin a happy and safe retirement,” the post concluded.
Congratulations and happy retirement, Patrolman Gaynor!
