The following September criminal incidents were reported by Rumson police:
- Police responded to a North Rohallion residence on Sept. 20 for an alarm activation at 3 a.m.. Upon arrival, it was determined that three masked individuals made entry into the garage and attempted to steal vehicles. They fled the scene when the alarm activated. Patrolman James Wrightington took the report.
- Police responded to the area of Markwood Lane on Sept. 20 on a report of a large party with juveniles consuming alcohol. Upon arrival, police found a large group of juveniles in area with crushed alcoholic beverage cans visible. One juvenile was taken into custody for disorderly conduct. Thomas Hall, 51, of Rumson, was issued borough summonses for maintaining a nuisance and availability of alcohol to minors.
- Police received reports at headquarters on Sept. 5 of nine attempted vehicle and home burglaries subsequent to an officer involved shooting that occurred on Avenue of Two Rivers.
