The 14th annual Basie Award nominations are in and Rumson-Fair Haven Regional High School’s (RFH) Tower Players have garnered 11.
The awards are designed to honor excellence in high school theater throughout Monmouth County. For RFH, this year’s awards were a sweep for the players’ fearless leader, Suzanne Sweeney, whose last shows at RFH have been produced.
On the cusp of her retirement, the longtime popular English teacher and director/producer has been nominated in both the Drama and Musical categories of the Basies for both Outstanding Production and Outstanding Direction for The Emperor’s Nightingale and The Addams Family.
For RFH, in the Drama category of the Basies, Quin Ahimovic was nominated for Outstanding Lighting Design.
In the Musical category, RFH won six nominations for their work on The Addams Family:
