Son of a Fair Haven business icon! Anthony Fabbri, son of Umberto’s Silvio, spoke the truth when he said in our recent interview that he had been making pizza since the age of 2.
He was “hangin’ a loose,” as Silvio would say, flipping that dough with pop as a toddler alright. And he had the picture to prove it.
Now, that’s a pizza slice of life. Truth. Snapshot moments such as this are priceless captures. While Anthony told us that he really learned most of his pizza-making skills from German mom Maryrose, dad Silvio took him a little higher with his flipping instinct as a born pizza maker. From the time he first stood on that stool and tossed that dough until now with his own new pizzeria Amici about to open, Anthony’s had his eye on the pie prize.
Silvio had a great memory of all of his customers and their orders. He also had a habit of spreading the dough-flipping love to the children of Fair Haven — a pied piper of pizza, if you will. And they did. Silvio brought many kids around the counter to teach them the fine art of pizza making.
Yes, that’s community amore. He’s surely got his ethereal eye on his son’s new endeavor, wishing him lots of dough.
