Call it an RFH Presidents Day tribute. There have been many — high school class presidents. And each RFH class has had its way of voting for and honoring its presidents.
One such way was with a little ditty and Mickey Mouse reception line at the opening of the Freshmen Follies for the RFH Class of ’78. But is the whole thing just Mickey Mouse?
Classmates introduced their then president Ward Tietz in a little number. Mouse-eared and all, they high- and low-fives him as he made his entrance for the class show time event.
This president also got up his gumption to entertain RFH troops with a little Honey Bun rendition from South Pacific, hula skirt, itchy coconut top and all.
Class presidents need to have some guts and a sense of humor sometimes. Familiar desired traits for any leader.
For this RFH class, Greg Nowell ended up being the president in the graduating year. His graduation speech left parents speechless with laughter. Anyone remember that?
So, who was your favorite RFH class president? Hail to which chief for you? Class president moments?
Many thanks to George Day for yet another classic snapshot back in RFH time!
