Speaking of presidents and their day, week, year or moment … There’s nothing quite as high school class presidential as a pack leader inspiring some hijinks. And here he is … RFH Class of ’78 President Greg Nowell.
He was the presidential pick for senior year. He had his own way of rallying the ’78 troops; and some mischief was always involved.
The scene is set in this RFH moment out in the cold on the football field sidelines. Somehow a car got out of the lot and onto the field — or close enough. And some cool dudes in some mighty cold temps were plotting something. We’re not quite sure what, exactly, but the presidential troops had been rallied.
A survey of the scene reveals some clues into the play of the day. There are underclassmen, teachers, pom-poms, a little cluster and some classic old cars (note the VW Bug up top and the car being driven). Likely a football game was being played, but how did the sideline stuff figure in … or out?
Notice how it seemed to be colder during fall football season than it is this winter? Hmmmm. What were these RFHers, led by their fearless, and we mean fearless, leader up to? The car? Where was it headed? Know who was driving it? Your favorite fearless leader moment at RFH?
Thanks, again, to George Day for this RFH snapshot back in time!
