Baseball season is always a hit at RFH. Call it a home run sport.
In fact, there were two games today. And behind every good team is a well-liked, motivational, success-driven coach. Kevin James is RFH’s head baseball coach. He is known as all of that for his team. James had retired from coaching in 2011 after 10 successful seasons, to spend more time with family. He then spent some time coaching at St. John Vianney while still teaching at RFH.
James was always a very popular coach, not unlike Hal Lorme, featured in our Retro Pic(s) of the Day. He returned after two years away from RFH coaching and has been since doing a bases loaded play between teaching at coaching at RFH.
Like Lorme, James has been seen as a home run for the team.
Lorme passed away a few years ago. He is still fondly remembered by many an RFH alumni and ball player.
In the top featured photo, Lorme is seen with ball player Tripp Dupree.
Below, he’s behind and in the scenes coaching. Recognize anyone else?
