Five, six, seven, eight … march, play, stop and smile! You’re on not-so-candid camera parade, RFH Marching Band of 1993!

Yes, you saw the beginning of this Belmar St. Patrick’s Day Parade story for the RFH Band. Now we take you to the middle. That’s where we see the marchers closer up and wonder what, exactly, transpired in that moment decades ago.

Here’s a shot during a little stop marching and playing moment. It’s a bit of start posing at this point. And pose they did — or at least one band member.

Never mind the green. Once a Bulldog, the color is purple, of course. So, clad in purple, white and gold trim, regardless of the occasion for the parade, that’s how the band played on all those years ago. The marching uniform is a bit different these days. The parade is more local, too. Like Rumson local.

So, get a closer gander at the way the band paraded around in 1993 and tell us your parade marching story as the day o’ parading and celebrating Irish charm winds down. Note, that these guys are marching, unwinded, past Jersey Coast Tobacco Company. Ohhhhh, the irony. Puff, puff, march!
