Since NJ Gov. Phil Murphy sanctioned camping again in the state, there have been some, well, happy campers.
While the campground at Sandy Hook, which is relatively new, was not opened for Memorial Day weekend, others were. Fair weather camping has long been an reunion-type tradition for some RFH friends.
One of those groups of RFH friends is the one featured. These guys have been happy campers together for many years. It all started around the time the photo was taken by one of the campers, George Day, the RFH Class of ’78 yearbook photographer.
They dove into the adventure, literally. One of these RFHers is gone, but at least a couple are still around. The campground? Could it be Stokes? Is it another Jersey camping haunt? Recognize the place? Who’s are these guys? The diver?
Any other groups of RFHers have this annual reunion tradition of happy camping?
Thanks to the fabulous George Day for another look back in RFH time!
